3 Biggest Moves of the NFL Offseason

The NHL offseason was fairly active as numerous players signed some big and lengthy contracts. Some of these moves made some big impacts on how teams could be this next and upcoming seasons. Let’s take a look at the three most impactful deals.

Johnny Gaudreau Columbus

This was one of the most unexpected moves of this offseason and the previous handful of offseasons as well. Gaudreau was one of the best free agents the NFL has seen in a while, and he had a deal from Calgary for significantly more money than he signed for with Columbus. The Blue Jackets haven’t made it past the second round of the playoffs ever.

Nazem Kadri Calgary

The Flames missed on Gaudreau somehow but got the next best free agent in Kadri. He had a great year for the Avalanche on the way to helping them win a Stanley Cup last year. This was massive for the Flames to make up on missing Gaudreau.

Matthew Tkachuk Florida

This move went down via a trade. Tkachuk told the Flames that he did not want a long-term deal with them after the other moves they had made this offseason. The Panthers are looking to build something nice with the 24-year-old now locked up for the next eight years.
