The New York Giants have had the best start to the season in over a decade. They are currently 5-1 and now can be actually taken seriously as a contender in the NFL to make the playoffs.

The first four weeks people didn’t give them much credit as it was early and they hadn’t really beat a team that was that good. Their first three wins came against the Titans, Panthers and Bears. They also lost to the Cowboys in week 3.

After that they won two big games against legit teams that were considered in the running for the Super Bowl before the season. These wins were against the Packers and Ravens this week.

These are massive wins for the Giants and it should give them confidence for the rest of the year. The biggest improvements have been from the defense but also Saquon Barkley. Barkley is beginning to look like his old self, which is dominant. There still isn’t that much of a legit passing game but with Barkley and a solid defense rolling, they could be hard for any team to beat right now.

A third of the way through the regular season this team looks good. Their schedule also gets even easier now with games against the Jaguars, Seahawks, Texans, and Lions coming up the next three weeks. These four teams have just seven combined wins so far.
