Big NFL News from the Weekend

The NFL offseason is officially beginning. We have seen players cut, traded, and now signing as free agents. Let’s look at some of the biggest moves so far.

Quarterback Deals

The Pittsburgh Steelers get a quarterback after having to live with Kenny Pickett for the past two years who was really bad, especially statistically. Russell Wilson is a great deal for Pittsburgh as he took the minimum because Denver is still on the hook for his contract and he couldn’t make anymore money. Quietly last year Wilson threw 26 touchdowns and just 8 interceptions.

We also saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers resign Baker Mayfield to a massive deal. They recently resigned Mike Evans and made the playoffs last year with that duo. This team should compete for a division title again.

Running Backs Switching Teams

Josh Jacobs signed with the Green Bay Packers, Tony Pollard signed with the Tennessee Titans, and D’Andre Swift signed with the Chicago Bears. Some huge moves that likely mean that Aaron Jones is done with the Packers and Derrick Henry is done with the Titans.

Wide Receiver Signings

We have seen some of the top wide receiver free agents sign deals already. Then Gabe Davis switched teams by getting signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Most of the top at the position are off the board now.
