Week 2 of the NFL season had some massive performances from all positions. Let’s look at some of them below:
Quarterbacks
Tua Tagovailoa
The Dolphins quarterback started out slow but came on in a big way to complete the comeback win over the Ravens. He ended the game with six passing touchdowns and 469 passing yards. Those were easily the top numbers in both categories for any quarterback this season so far.
Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson not only did it with his arm but with his legs too in week 2. It was a disappointing loss to Miami but he managed 318 yards passing and another 119 rushing with four total touchdowns and no turnovers.
Running Backs
Nick Chubb
Chubb was expected to have a big day against the Jets but only managed 87 rushing yards. What was impressive was the three touchdowns he scored as well.
Christian McCaffrey
In a tough loss McCaffrey managed 102 yards rushing. He also was able to collect four catches. For a win he would have traded every yard and catch though.
Wide Receivers
Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill
The Dolphins teammates went off as they both had 11 catches and two touchdowns on Sunday. Waddle managed 171 yards and Hill had 190 as well. Huge days for this pair.
Amon St. Brown
One of the best wide receivers in the league so far in 2022 had another monster performance in week two. He helped Detroit get their first win with 119 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also had 68 rushing yards.
