Biggest Questions Heading into NFL Week 1

Week 1 of the NFL season always brings a ton of surprises that no one had foreseen coming. Right now there is a ton of unknown on how this season will unfold. Let’s take a look at some things we can’t wait to find out in week 1.

How will the new starting quarterbacks perform?

This year no rookie quarterbacks will start in week 1 for the first time since 2007. There are however a handful of starters that did not start a game last season. It will be extremely interesting to see how these QBs perform.

The Steelers will go with Mitchell Trubisky, who hasn’t started a game since the 2020 season, the Falcons will start Marcus Mariota who hasn’t started since 2019, and Joe Flacco started just one game in 2021 but will have to start at least four games to begin the year most likely for the Jets.

Will Denver look dominant early?

The Broncos made the biggest move of the offseason acquiring Russell Wilson and then signing him to a massive extension. He will play his former team in week 1, Seattle, who a lot of people think is the worst team in the league. If Denver loses, or looks shaky, it could be a sign of trouble early for the Broncos.

Will any rookie wide receivers take the league by storm again?

Two years ago Justin Jefferson was great from the jump and last year Ja’Mmar Chase was even better. This year there were more wide receivers drafted in the first round than in previous drafts and one could stand out from the rest early, but who will it be?
