The Boston Bruins are off to one of the hottest starts in the NHL season. In their first 18 games they have lost only two contests. This currently puts them at first place in the Eastern Conference and they can be crowned for the moment the best team in the league, as far record goes.
Last year the Bruins had their best regular season since the 2013 season with 51 wins. Unfortunately, this resulted in them getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. After this hot start it looks like they could surpass their 2022 record of 51 wins by the end of the 2023 regular season.
This team is still led by David Pastrnak. He currently has 26 points and nine goals. Don’t forget that he led the NHL in goals in the 2020 season. Additionally, Patrice Bergeron in his 19th season already has eight goals for the Bruins and Hampus Lindholm, who they traded for last year, has 14 assists.
It is still early in the season but the Bruins look like they could be a legit problem in the playoffs. Hopefully it is not a repeat of last year where they were really good in the regular season and then faltered in the first round.
