Tom Brady has agreed to a 10-year deal with Fox Sports to become an NFL broadcaster after he retires from the sport in a ridiculous deal that will pay him $375 million over the course of the 10-year deal.
That is one of the largest deals ever for a broadcaster in any sport or on any network. It is even more than Brady has made over the course of his playing career from contracts with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers combined. That total of all of his NFL contract money comes out to just $322 million over the course of his 20-year NFL career.
Getting Tom Brady in the announcer booth is like getting Michael Jordan to be an NBA announcer right after he retired. Brady hasn’t been super outgoing in his NFL career until after he won the Super Bowl with the Bucs. He is now active on Twitter and Instagram posting jokes, memes, and a ton of content. Showing his personality probably helped him get this announcer deal.
Brady is arguably the best NFL player ever and now we will see a lot more of him after his 20-something-year long career ends at some point in the next decade.
