Breakout Stars of the NFL Season So Far

The 2023 NFL season is well underway as we kickoff week six tonight with the Denver Broncos playing at the Kansas City Chiefs. As is the case every year in the NFL we have some breakout stars early in the season. Let’s take a look at some of those who have emerged as some key difference makers this year.

Puka Nacua – Los Angeles Rams

A rookie wide receiver for the Rams has been setting records left and right. Puka Nacua was drafted in the fifth round yet through five games he already has 46 catches and 572 yards receiving. This has helped the Rams be a competitive team early on. Despite their record of 2-3 the Rams look like they could compete for a playoff spot with Nacua and Cooper Kupp now back.

De’Von Achane – Miami Dolphins

Another rookie who took the league by storm is De’Von Achane. Even after not playing the first game and playing limited snaps in the second game, he is third in rushing yards in the NFL. Some people say he is the fastest player in the league right now. Unfortunately, he is injured and could miss four games or more.

D’Andre Swift – Philadelphia Eagles

There was a ton of hype around D’Andre Swift in Detroit but his potential was never untapped. It seems in Philadelphia they have been able to unleash him. He is in a great spot and is fourth in the NFL in rushing yards even though he played sparingly in their first game. Swift could be a star in the league moving forward.
