Can the Mavericks Make it a Series?

Celtics at Wizards 4/10/18

Game 1 of the NBA finals is in the books. It was all Boston as they took an early lead and held onto it. When Dallas got close in the third quarter but the Celtics went on a 14-0 run to build their lead back up to 20 points. Can the Dallas Mavericks make this a series or will it be a quick one for Boston?

Jaylen Brown was arguably the best player for Boston in game 1. He not only scored 22 points but he guarded Luka Doncic for the majority of the game. He held Luka to just one assist. Doncic did score 30 points but it was on 26 shots. They need to attack Brown more and get him in foul trouble.

For Dallas to win a couple of the next few games in this finals to make it a series that goes six or seven games, they have to get more from their role players. Kyrie Irving also has to have his shots fall but Derrick Lively and Daniel Gafford were fairly ineffective. They both were crucial in the last series against Minnesota.

Boston may be hard to stop with all of the different options they have. Dallas may have to just outscore Boston and focus and stopping as many threes from the Celtics as possible.
