Champions League Semi-Finals draw was held yesterday in Nyon, Switzerland. The teams that made their way to top-4 this year are Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Monaco and Juventus.
Real and Atetico Madrid, those last year’s finalists and Juventus are hardly surprising in top-4. Monaco on the other hand has been the story of the season. Also leading their domestic league, Leonardo Jardim’s team has taken everyone by surprise by playing entertaining and attack heavy football all season long. They’ve ousted both Manchester City and Dortmund – simply by scoring more goals.
Their challenge will only get tougher in Champions League Semi-Finals. They were drawn against Italian giants Juventus, who both Porto and Barcelona comfortably on their way to top four.
This leaves the other pairing a repeat of last season’s finale, as the Madrid derby will take place already in Champions League Semi-Finals. Last year Atletico lost the final, so they’ll get their change of revenge early this time.
