The Chicago Bulls free agent pickups from the summer have definitely paid off for them and sooner than anyone had expected. Demar Derozan and Lonzo Ball have fit in nicely to take this team to one of the best in the NBA. They recently took over first place in the Eastern Conference from the Brooklyn Nets and now they have been increasing that lead that is up to 2.5 games.
Friday night the Bulls won another game over the Washington Wizards by a score of 130-122. This night the Bulls were led by Zach Lavine with 27 points and the team had a good balanced scoring attack, especially from off of the bench. Two reserve players in Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu were the next two scoring leaders for Chicago with 21 and 18 points, respectively.
The game proved to be a close matchup in the end as the Bulls were ahead by 12 going into the third quarter but the Wizards quickly cut the lead to just eight a few minutes later. The Wizards could never take the lead though and the Bulls closed out another game to improve to 26-10 on the season.
The Bulls are currently on a nine game winning streak and next will face the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday in an attempt to push that winning streak to 10 games.
