Colorado Avalanche Dominated the Playoffs

The Colorado Avalanche won the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup on Sunday night in Tampa Bay over the Lightning. This was the first Stanley Cup trophy the franchise has won since 2001, and it halted a three-peat for the Lightning. The Avalanche won the series in just six games.

This Stanley Cup win not only marked a championship for the Avalanche but it was one of the most dominant trophy wins ever.

Colorado was 9-1 on the road in these playoffs and also only lost just four games in the entire playoffs. Two of their playoffs series, against the Nashville Predators and the Edmonton Oilers, were four-game sweeps.

The Colorado Avalanche have been one of the most talented teams from top to bottom in the NHL for years, and they finally were able to put it all together this year to win the cup.

This team could go on to be the best dynasty of the 2020s now even after Tampa Bay had won two in a row right before this. The Avalanche have the talent to repeat multiple more championships, and they look like they could compete for many more cups over the next eight years. Colorado is not going anywhere.
