The rookie sensation in the NHL Connor Bedard has finally broken out in his past two games and he has shown everyone why he is seen as the next big thing in hockey.
To start the season Bedard was a bit disappointing based on all the immense amount of hype before the season. In the month of October Bedard scored just four goals. The past two games he has matched that total. In back-to-back games Bedard scored two goals and in one of those games he also had two assists.
The Chicago Blackhawks are not a great team but Bedard has been willing them to a handful of wins so far. Moving forward we should definitely be keeping a close eye again on Bedard. This run that he is on right now may not last but it is very encouraging that he has the ability to go on stretches of big games.
Consistency will be the key for Bedard, and any player who wants to be a superstar in the NHL. We will see if he can build on this for the rest of the season. The next game for Bedard will be on Thursday November 16 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
