Do the Warriors Have One Last Run in Them?

The Golden State Warriors have looked awful for the most part of this season but they always seem to figure it our towards the end of the year. Believe it or not, the NBA season is only just over the halfway mark of the regular season.

The Warriors have suffered a six-game-losing streak this year and never were really in playoff contention aside from the first two weeks of the year. Now, the Warriors won five games in a row before losing a close game against one of the top teams in the league, the Los Angeles Clippers. It was one of the Warriors’ top performances of the season, even in a loss and with Draymond doing Draymond things.

It’s hard to believe now looking at this team that they won the NBA Championship just two seasons ago. That team had the same core group of players as this year with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins. They have looked like far from a championship contender this year, but as we head into the playoffs and the Warriors are in it, they should not be counted out.

A finals run would be extremely impressive for the Warriors. The West has gotten much stronger since their finals run. The Clippers look really good with their star-studded roster, the Denver Nuggets have their same team from last year’s title, and we haven’t even mentioned the top two teams in the West, Minnesota and Oklahoma City.

The Warriors are 7-3 in their last 10 games and have climbed up to the last spot in the play-in game. Never count this team out.
