In the two NFL Divisional Playoff games on Saturday the Eagles and the Chiefs both looked great. They now find themselves in their respective conference championship game next week. Let’s look at how these teams were able to make it this far.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles lost just three games in the regular season. 14 wins was the most in their franchise history. One loss came without their starting quarterback as well in Jalen Hurts. This team has a dominant defense and standout quarterback with some elite weapons. In the divisional round the Eagles held the Giants to just seven points in a route as they won 38-7. That came after the first-round bye they received. This team is elite and will be tough for any team to beat the rest of these playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs
Everyone was wondering how the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes would play without their star wide receiver Tyreek Hill and star defensive playmaker Tyrann Mathieu. It turns out they were still great. Mahomes still led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns. This team plays fast and has an underrated defense as well. The defense came up with two big turnovers in the fourth quarter to beat Jacksonville in the divisional round. Now they advance to the AFC Championship but the question is how Mahomes will play with his injured ankle.
