There were five NHL Playoff series that ended with a game seven this past weekend. It was a great time to be a hockey fan as there was a ton of great action to be watched.
BOS vs CAR
The first game on Saturday saw the Hurricanes advance by defeating the Bruins by a score of 3-2. Carolina never was down in this series and closed it out with a big game seven win.
TB vs TOR
The next game that took place Saturday as the defending Stanley Cup winners won by just one goal as well when Tampa Bay beat the Toronto Maple Leafs. Toronto had the lead three times in this series when they were up 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2, but they lost the lead every time.
LA vs HOU
The third game on Saturday the Oilers beat the Kings in the only game seven that was won by two goals or more. The Kings gave up a lead late in the series to lose this one after they were up 3-2.
NY vs PIT
On Sunday, the Rangers beat the Penguins in game seven in overtime. New York came back to tie the game in the third period and then win in the extra time.
CAL vs DAL
A second overtime game seven occurred on Sunday when the Flames beat the Stars 3-2. This concluded one of the best weekends of hockey in recent memory.
