The latest trade rumor involving Ben Simmons has been a swap of James Harden for Simmons. Philadelphia has always been a preferred destination for Harden, as it is enticing for him to play alongside Joel Embiid. Another reason Harden could be a target for Philadelphia is the reunion of Harden and former Rockets’ General Manager, Daryl Morey.
For the Brooklyn Nets, this trade would solidify their defense that has regressed since the return of Kyrie Irving to the lineup. Simmons also adds similar playmaking that Harden provides on the offensive end. The Nets would not be likely to make this move unless he attempts to force his way out of Philadelphia or requests a trade, however.
Any trade for the 76ers that involves Simmons would be welcomed by the team and the fans. Getting Harden in a trade would be by far the best return that any team has been rumored give back to the 76ers in a Simmons trade. The 76ers would be getting back a former MVP and one of the best players currently in the NBA.
The Nets would would most likely like to keep Harden and go for a run at the championship with their first full year of the team all healthy if Harden is committed to Brooklyn.
