Lakers Likely to Keep this Roster?

There have been rumblings in the NBA all summer long that the Los Angeles Lakers would be making some big trades. The player who has been brought up the most on the Lakers, and in the entire league, has been Russell Westbrook. It now looks like Westbrook could end up staying in LA.

Every week it seems there is a new trade partner or scenario but everything has eventually fallen through. Now it looks like the Pacers deal is off as their GM said that the main trade piece, center Myles Turner, will be with the team when the season tips off. That trade would have been to send Westbrook with two first-round picks for Turner and Buddy Hield.

It seems every team attempting to acquire Westbrook is only interested if the Lakers are including picks as well for taking on his big salary.

The other team rumored to be interested currently is the Jazz so they can acquire those picks. That seems like the last remaining possibility as the Lakers could then get Bojan Bogdanovic or Jordan Clarkson. These rumors have been swirling for weeks now without any real traction.

It seems likely that the Lakers will go into the season with this current roster built around Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Westbrook.
