According to one of Lebron James’ NBA teammates, Dennis Schroder, Lebron wants to play another five to seven years. Schroder said this is an interview that was all in German but obviously it was translated into English for most people to understand. Schroder is a former teammate of Lebron and also a current teammate as he came back to the Lakers this season, so he should know him pretty well.
What would it look like if Lebron plays another five to seven years? First of all it would allow him to play with his son Bronny James and even his younger son Bryce James, assuming they are both good enough to make it to the NBA. It would be wild to see Lebron play with one of his sons let alone two.
The next factor we have to think about is the effect this will have on his career numbers. Lebron is already in season 20, so five more years will make him the player who played the most seasons ever in the history of the NBA. Currently, Vince Carter played 22 seasons, which is the most ever.
Lebron is already close to becoming the all-time leading scorer and he could pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as soon as this season for that record. He is undoubtedly going to be break or be in the top five of numerous other records if he does play another five to seven more years.
