Lewis Hamilton claims fourth consecutive Australian GP pole

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton went on to claim his fourth consecutive pole position in season opener grand prix in Melbourne, Australia.

Hamilton also made a new track record with his fastest lap 1.22,188.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was 2nd (+0,268), Mercedes’s Valtteri Bottas 3rd (+0,293) and Ferrari’s Kimi Räikkönen 4th (+0,845).

Vettel made everyone laugh at the press conference when a reporter was wondering why Bottas looked so sad even though he took the third spot.

– What was your name again? Patrick, okay. I recommend you to travel to Finland. They all look like that. For me Valtteri seems to be happier than ever right now, Vettel started his explanation and the press room was filled with laughter.

– It’s most definitely worth the trip. Beautiful country full of nice people.
