Massive NHL Free Agent Deals

The NHL free agency period started just about a week ago and we have seen some huge deals go down. Let’s look at some of the biggest and how these players may fit with their new team.

Radko Gudas Anaheim Ducks

Radko Gudas was one of the first big free agent signings to go down in the league. The 33 year old got a three year deal that will pay him $12 million. He was a large part of the Florida Panther’s success the past few years and will make a big impact on the Ducks next year.

Ryan O’Reilly Nashville Predators

After being traded to Toronto at the trade deadline O’Reilly is on the move again, this time in free agency. He signed a big deal with Nashville for the next four seasons and $18 million. O’Reilly scored 16 goals in just 53 games last season and obviously has a lot left in the tank that Nashville should be ecstatic to have on board for the long haul.

Tyler Bertuzzi Toronto Maple Leafs

A one year deal for $5.5 million was signed by Tyler Bertuzzi to bring him to Toronto. That makes him a top 150 paid player in the league. Last season he was traded to the Boston Bruins, which did not work out well. This contract will be a ‘prove it’ deal where Bertuzzi is betting on himself that he can get back to his 2021 season from where he scored 30 goals and had 62 points.
