Most Impactful NFL Deadline Trades

The NFL trade deadline has come and gone. There wasn’t as many moves like predicted but some of the ones that were made were impactful. Let’s look at some of the biggest deals that went down.

Chase Young to the 49ers

The second pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and one of the best pas rushers in the league has been moved to the 49ers. Chase Young is a beast and on the opposite side of Nick Bosa, the 49ers probably have the best outside rushing combo in the league. San Francisco only gave up a third-round pick for him. It’s a huge boost for the defense that has needed it.

Joshua Dobbs to the Vikings

After being traded to the Arizona Cardinals earlier this year to be their starter while Kyler Murray is out, the Cardinals shipped Joshua Dobbs to Minnesota to fill in for Kirk Cousins. The Cardinals are anticipating the return of Murray and Minnesota needed a real starter as they obviously were not confident in their other options.

Donovan Peoples-Jones to the Lions

The Lions are one of the top teams in the NFC. A missing hole was a second wide receiver and they are hoping Donovan Peoples-Jones can fill that behind Amon-Ra St.Brown. This could be a big pickup or it could be a bust as Donovan Peoples-Jones has always had potential but has never really done anything.
