NBA Conference Finals Preview

The NBA Conference Finals are here and some unexpected teams have made it this far. Let’s get into how these matchups may play out for these teams to punch a trip to the NBA Finals.

Boston Celtics vs Indiana Pacers

Not many people had the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. They narrowly escaped having to play in the play-in games with the 6th seed and then got a very favorable matchup against Milwaukee with Giannis at all and without Lillard for much of the series. The next round they got the Knicks. They were down 2-3 but had some luck again with injuries to Josh Hart and OG Anunoby to win the last two games to advance.

Boston have been the favorites in the East the entire season essentially and haven’t been challenged much either. They are huge favorites to beat Indiana who may have been getting lucky so far and will need to prove they belong on this stage.

Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota plays intense defense which has got them to this point. After a slow start in game 7, the Wolves battled back and had some huge second-half performances form their stars. For Dallas, Luka Doncic has been carrying this team and finally he got some help from his co-star, Kyrie Irving, in their game 7 win. To win this series for Dallas they will have to have a huge series from both of those guys. Minnesota will have to focus on stopping that duo and continue to attack on offense.
