The NBA preseason has tipped off. Believe it or not, the season is just right around the corner now and we have gotten a glimpse of some of the new-look teams. Let’s look at some of the top teams who have already been in action.
One of the top teams that made some major changes this offseason are the Celtics. They were able to keep their two top players in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown but added Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday as two new pieces. It was interesting to see Holiday come off of the bench with Derrick White starting as well as Porzingis fit in perfectly. Obviously it has just been one preseason game but they look like great fits already.
Golden State Warriors
Chris Paul is the biggest addition to this team. He looked great playing unselfish basketball and fitting right in with this team. Paul can move the ball around, find the open man and hit shots. The question will be if he can defend and play with Stephen Curry on the defensive side down the stretch in the playoffs. On offense they should be electric but defense will be the question.
The Phoenix Suns brought in Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic. The starters all played between 12 and 15 minutes. It was a great debut for this team as Beal, Durant, and Booker all scored 11 or more points in those limited minutes. Josh Okogie started alongside the big four and it will be interesting to see who else can step up on this team besides them.
