Round two of the NBA Playoffs features four series, two from the East and two from the West. Let’s take a look at how these played out for these four teams to advance to the Conference Finals.
76ers vs Boston: Boston in Seven
The series began with an injury to Joel Embiid which he was able to come back from in game two. Philadelphia relied on James Harden as he had two 42+ point games but did little else in the series. After blowing a big lead to win the series in game six, the 76ers lost again in game seven by a large margin to allow Boston to advance.
Knicks vs Heat: Heat in Six
The Miami Heat proved they are a consistent team as they kept going at the Knicks. Whenever the Knicks had a glimpse of hope in this series the Heat would shut them down. It was more of an overall effort by the team after Jimmy Butler carried them in round one.
Lakers vs Warriors: Lakers in Six
You never believe that the Warriors are truly out of a series until it is over. The Lakers went up 3-1 but the Warriors came back and blew them out in game five. Los Angeles was able to come back and beat the Warriors by 21 points to send them home.
Nuggets vs Suns: Nuggets in Six
It looked like the Nuggets were going to dominate the Suns after winning the first two games by 10 or more. Phoenix came back though and tied the series up 2-2 behind incredible performances from Kevin Durant and Devin booker. No one else on Phoenix could do anything though until it was too late. Denver won the next two games to advance.
