NBA Season Preview

The NBA is back. Tuesday tipped off the 2022-2023 season with the Celtics 76ers and Warriors Lakers games. Let’s look at a preview of what we predict for this season.

NBA Champions – Golden State Warriors

The Warriors just won the championship and have all of their main pieces back along with some other additions that could help them win back-to-back titles. Everyone knows the main players like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, but Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole also had great seasons and could be even better this year. Adding to that, they will get center James Wiseman back and they added Donte DiVincenzo who is a versatile guard/wing defender and shooter.

MVP – Luka Doncic

Without Jalen Brunson in Dallas Luka may even shoot more than he did last year. He could produce one of the highest points per game averages we have seen in a very long time. Nikola Jokic won back-to-back MVPs but now he will have more scoring help which could hurt his numbers.

New Playoff Teams

We are counting the play-in for this one. In the West the Sacramento Kings haven’t made the playoffs in 16 years. This season they should have a good shot at at least the play-in with a chance to make it to the official playoffs. Their only real competition for the last spot may be the Portland Trailblazers. In the East the last spot is up for grabs as well. It seems like it will be between the Knicks and the Wizards, two teams who missed the playoffs last year.
