The NBA Summer League is about to tip off in Las Vegas. There will be a ton of talent there this year. Let’s look at which teams will be the ones to watch.
This team should be the favorite to win the Summer League. They arguably have the best team and it’s not even close. This roster will feature their two best players from last year: Cade Cunningham and Saddiq Bey, as well as two first-round picks from this year: Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren. They also will have role players from their NBA squad last year in Killian Hayes, Saben Lee, and Isaiah Stewart.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors Summer League team will feature two players from their Finals run in Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody. Both of those players played well in their limited chances last year but could be two of the best players in the Summer League. The biggest thing to watch though will be James Wiseman, the second-overall pick from the 2020 NBA Draft who has only played 39 games so far in the NBA.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The most intriguing player to watch possibly in the entire Summer League will be Chet Holmgren. He has the potential to be one of the most dominant players in the league or a bust. It will be the thing to watch in Summer League. This roster will also have two other starters from last year’s NBA team, Josh Giddey and Tre Mann.
