NBA Teams on the Rise

This NBA season we have seen some teams rise to the top. Let’s look at some that have come to relevance after years of mediocracy.

Minnesota Timerwolves

The Timberwolves haven’t won a playoff series since 2004. Now they find themselves with the second-beet record in the Western Conference. This team is great defensively and have three solid players who have all been All Stars and are still in their prime. The unfortunate situation for this team is that Karl Anthony-Towns just got hurt and they may have to face the Warriors or Lakers in the first round.

Oklahoma City Thunder

People expected this team to be good but not this good. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a legit MVP candidate and the surrounding cast he has of Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams compliment him and this team extremely well. The Thunder are in a similar situation as Minnesota where they may face an extremely tough matchup in the first round as the No. 1 seed.

New York Knicks

The Knicks are fourth in the Eastern Conference but lost just one game in January. They have been dealing with injures lately but are beginning to get their starters back. This team is tough and can score the ball. They may be the third-best team in the conference.
