NBA Trade Deadline Recap

The NBA trade deadline has come and gone. Earlier we covered some of the trades that had gone down early in the day on Thursday but those ended up being some of the biggest trades of the deadline.

No stars were traded at all during this deadline and arguably not even any secondary stars either. Some players who some people may consider stars were expected to be on the move such as Dejounte Murray, Miles Bridges, Demar Derozan, and Zach LaVine. Those were the biggest names rumored to be traded at the deadline but none actually moved teams.

Most shockingly, the Chicago Bulls failed to make a trade yet again. It seems every year they are the team most rumored to trade their stars but again no moves were made. They likely are only completing for an in-season tournament spot again and have little young talent on their roster besides Coby White plus Ayo Dosumnu and Patrick Williams who are still unproven.

We broke down the major trades the Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks, and New York Knicks made. Besides that, Gordon Hayward to the Oklahoma City Thunder may have been the next most-impactful move of the deadline.

We will see what these moves mean for some of these looking to make a finals run.
