The NBA trade deadline on February 10th is a time where teams can add contributing players to their roster to compete at a higher level for the rest of the year in hopes of making the playoffs or contend for a championship. Listed below are some of the top players that are rumored to be available at the deadline.
Domantas Sabonis
The Indiana Pacers are going to be sellers this trade deadline. The experiment of Sabonis, Myles Turner, Caris Levert, and Malcom Brogdon hasn’t worked out there. All of them are up for sale this deadline. Sabonis is the best of the bunch.
The power forward is just 25-years-old making under $20 million per year with three years left on his deal. He is also a two-time All Star who averages 20 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists per game.
Potential suitors should be the Suns, Blazers, Kings, and Lakers.
Jerami Grant
Grant is fed up with losing on the Pistons. He wants to go somewhere he can be a star on a good team. Grant was on the USA national team and has seen what other stars in the league can do. He wants part in that.
Potential suitors should be the Kings, Suns, Lakers, and Wizards.
Russell Westbrook
The Russell Westbrook experiment in Los Angeles has not worked out. The Lakers are three games under .500 and Westbrook is one of the most inefficient players in the league. He also makes $44 million dollars this year, so a big salary dump would be needed in return.
The Lakers want to compete this year still and would need a good package in return for Westbrook as well.
Potential suitors should be the Rockets and Knicks.
