Every year at the NBA trade deadline there are at least a handful of trades that occur. Some trades are bigger than others, but these ones are some trades that we would like to see go down to make some teams better and also to give some players a better shot at success.
Cam Reddish Lakers
The Lakers actually have a pretty good performing core right now despite their record of just 11-16. Obviously the start for the team was horrendous but since being 2-10 the Lakers have won nine of their last 16 games. What they desperately need is shooting and wing defenders. Cam Reddish is young and somewhat inexperienced but definitely brings that. The Knicks also reportedly only want a second-round pick for him.
Demar Derozan Suns
Will this current Suns team ever make it back to the NBA Finals without a big change? If we were them we would not bank on it and the window is closing for them with Chris Paul. They have Paul and Devin Booker as two great playmakers but seem to need another. It would be worth some picks and young players such as Mikal Bridges and/or Cam Johnson to get Derozan.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Mavericks
This is a trade that not many people at all have talked about. The Mavericks have yet to find an ideal partner for Luka Doncic. It didn’t work with Kristaps Porzingis and seemed to work with Jalen Brunson before he left in free agency. Why would they not use their next three first-round picks to get another star better than Brunson in the backcourt with Luka? It could instantly turn them into title contenders.
