Following the two NBA play-in games on Tuesday between the seventh and eighth ranked teams, the ninnth and 10th ranked teams will face off on Wednesday. The winner of these games won’t be in the playoffs after just one win though. If a nine or 10 ranked team wins then they will also need to beat the loser of the seven vs eight game on Friday. Let’s look at the two games on Wednesday.
Bulls at Raptors
The Raptors always seem to get hot at the right time and they have a favorable matchup here against the Bulls. Look for a big game from Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet who were key members of the Raptors championship team and multiple other playoff teams in the past. Chicago has star power in Demar Derozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic, but will it be enough to overtake this Raptors team?
Thunder at Pelicans
The Thunder came out of nowhere to secure the 10 spot and for a while just a couple of weeks ago they climbed all the way up to the six spot in the Western Conference. It goes to show you how tight things were between the five and 10 spots out West. Both of these teams have been playing well and Brandon Ingram in particular has been great for New Orleans. He had 42 points in his last game.
