There are three teams with a chance for the last NFL playoff spot in the NFC. Those three teams are the Packers, Seahawks, and Lions. Out of those three teams the Packers have the best chance of making the playoffs but all three teams still could make it in. All three are currently 8-8 but certain teams hold tiebreakers over others.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers control their own destiny. With a win over Detroit in week 18 they make it into the playoffs. With a loss though they will be eliminated. It has been a great run for the Packers winning four games in a row to get here.
Detroit Lions
The Lions don’t necessarily control their own destiny. They play Green Bay on Sunday night but need a tie or a loss from Seattle before their game to even have a chance. If that happens, they still will need to beat the Packers.
Seattle Seahawks
A win in mandatory for the Seahawks to get into the playoffs. If they tie or lose, the winner of the Packers vs Lions game will make the playoffs. If they win the game, they still will need Detroit to beat the Packers. Green Bay has the tiebreaker over Seattle due to a better division record.
