Two games decided who will take a trip to the Super Bowl this season. Four of the best and most-talented teams were in these NFL Conference Title games. Let’s see how they went down.

49ers at Eagles

Philadelphia came out strong. A deep pass on fourth down to Devonta Smith that was ruled complete, although it was seen later to probably be incomplete, led the Eagles to their first touchdown. An injury to Brock Purdy of the 49ers forced Josh Johnson to enter the game. He led the 49ers to a touchdown before having a big fumble that the Eagles were able to capitalize again on. Johnson ended up getting what looked like a concussion and Purdy had to enter the game. Purdy couldn’t throw downfield and for the rest of the game he threw just two more passes. The Eagles obviously had a clear advantage after this and won 31-7.

Bengals at Chiefs

This was a close and hard-fought game. The scoring was limited to start as it was 3-0 Chiefs after the first quarter. Two second half touchdowns for the Bengals tied the game at 20-20. With 27 seconds remaining Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs on a drive that ended with a field goal. The big play on the drive was a run by an ailing Mahomes that had a late hit tagged on the end of it. It was a tough way to lose for the Bengals.
