The NFL draft has come and gone. It was a draft heavy on wide receivers as this is expected to be a special wide receiver class. Some teams were able to significantly improve themselves in this draft. It should prove to have significantly effected some teams going into next year. Let’s take a look at the teams that had some of the best drafts below.
New York Jets
The Jets had two top 10 picks, so obviously they were able to add some talent early. With the fourth pick in the draft the Jets went with a shutdown and playmaking corner in Sauce Gardner. He is truly a difference maker and should improve this defense immediately. With pick No. 10 they had to decide between wide receiver and Jermaine Johnson. They went receiver with Garrett Wilson but were able to somehow get Johnson with pick 24 as well. A great first round for the Jets.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles won via trade getting A.J. Brown for the 18th pick. Brown is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL and for just an 18th pick, it seems like a no brainer move. They also added a big defensive lineman who should make a large impact on the team in Jordan Davis.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens traded their top wide receiver Marquise Brown, but they also added a ton of talent. They got maybe the best player in the draft in safety Kyle Hamilton with their first round pick and then got two first round talents later in the draft in center Tyler Linderbaum and linebacker David Ojabo.
