Week 18 in the NFL set the playoff matchups. Some teams were disappointed and eliminated while others made it in. Let’s look at some teams that were able to win and get in.
Miami Dolphins
For the first time since the 2016 season the Dolphins were able to get into the playoffs. They had to win their week 18 matchup with the New York Jets and the Patriots had to lose as well. Both of those things happened. Miami was able to win without scoring a touchdown. They now will face the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the playoffs.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks needed a lot to go right for them and it did. They had to win their game against the Los Angeles Rams as they came back and got the victory in overtime and they also needed the Green Bay Packers to lose. Both of those things happened and Seattle was able to get into the playoffs. They will now play their rival in the San Francisco 49ers looking for an upset.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Tennessee Titans have been running the AFC South but Jacksonville made a strong push late in the season. In week 18 these two teams faced off for the division title and the Jaguars ended up winning. They will be in the postseason for the first time since 2017 and will play the Los Angeles Chargers.
