Heading into the NFL preseason week 2 there are still some majors questions about a few teams. Let’s look at what week 2 can help us figure out.
How will Dalvin Cook Fit with the Jets?
The Jets have signed Dalvin Cook and it will be interesting to see if he plays in the game as it would be his last chance to get any work before the season starts. Maybe Breece Hall is not ready to go for the beginning of the season and now he will split this backfield along with Michael Carter and Cook. Rookies Israel Abanikanda and Travis Dye, who both looked really good last week, could be on the chopping block now as well.
Who will Start for Houston and Tampa Bay at QB?
CJ Stroud looked pretty bad in his debut and Kyle Trask and Baker Mayfield haven’t showed anything that puts them apart from one another yet. Davis Mills looked good for Houston and they could opt to keep Stroud on the bench to develop him, at least in the beginning of the year if he doesn’t greatly improve in preseason. For Tampa, they may go with Baker unless they prove to be non-contenders early on.
Will we See Aaron Rodgers in the Preseason?
The Jets are playing their final preseason game this weekend and Rodgers has yet to even suit up so far. Fans are eager to see him play in a Jets uniform but he may just sit the entirety of the preseason. If he does play it would surely be the game to watch in week 2.
