Some NFL teams greatly improved over the offseason. Theses three teams below could go from not making the playoffs to even contending for a Super Bowl next season in some cases. Let’s see why below:
Indianapolis Colts 2022 Ceiling: Super Bowl
The Colts were one of the best teams during the regular season last year, even with Carson Wentz as their quarterback. They looked to be in a good position to get a playoff spot before they lost their last two games to the Raiders and then the Jaguars. The team still managed a 9-8 record but could have easily been 11-6 if they won those two games that they were favorites in at the end of the year. Now, they signed Matt Ryan, who is arguably a top 12 quarterback in the league and have a great defense and top 3 running back in the NFL.
Denver Broncos 2022 Ceiling: Super Bowl
It is now Super Bowl or bust for the Broncos. The team gave up a lot to trade for Russell Wilson and the Broncos have a good surrounding cast around him. With a below-average quarterback the past six seasons there was never much hope for the postseason for this team. Now, they should be able to turn those seven wins they had last year into 10 or 11 and make the playoffs. The AFC West will be the toughest division without a doubt, however.
New York Giants 2022 Ceiling: Playoffs
The Giants now are going into year four with Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback. He showed signs last year of being a capable starter on a good team and could have a breakout 2022 season. With Saquon Barkley hopefully back fully healthy and their wide receivers healthy in Kadarius Toney, Kenny Galloday and Darius Slayton, this offense might be a threat to make some noise in arguably the worst division in the NFL, the NFC East.
