NFL Teams that Got Better this Offseason

This NFL offseason there was a lot of players changing teams. Which teams were able to get significantly better from these moves and should project to outdo their win total from last season by a large margin? Let’s look at three top candidates to do so below.

Chicago Bears

It seemed the the Chicago Bears were so close to being unlocked last season under their young quarterback Justin Fields. After what seemed like a promising season for Fields the Bears only had three wins to show for it.

This offseason the Bears made some significant moves to upgrade their roster including trading for DJ Moore, one of the most talented wide receivers in the league. More additions to offense included adding a starting running back in D’Onta Foreman, a tight end in Robert Tonyan, and a lineman in Nate Davis.

The defense added two great linebackers in Tremaine Edmunds and TJ Edwards as well as defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker.

This team could easily get eight or nine wins in the NFC North that should be weaker without Aaron Rodgers in it.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos didn’t make any massive moves but getting back running back Javonte Williams and having Russell Wilson with one year of experience with his new team should be huge boosts for the upcoming season. Mike McGlinchey was a massive free agent signing to help protect Wilson and getting Semaje Perine is an underrated move as well due to his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Five wins last year was one of the worst seasons ever for Denver but with the Raiders likely regressing in the division, the Broncos could get close to 10 wins in 2023.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns were waiting all year for Deshaun Watson to be cleared to start at quarterback for them and once he was playing they looked pretty good. The offense will come with Watson, Amari Cooper, and Nick Chubb on their roster but defense is what they addressed this offseason in a big way.

Cleveland could go from seven wins to winning the AFC North and it should not surprise anyone.
