NFL Top Free Agents Sign

Buccaneers at Redskins 11/16/14

NFL free agency kicked off in early March and we have already seen some of the top free agents resign with their teams. This takes some of the top players off the board already. Let’s look at the impact of these deals.

Mike Evans Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers retained Mike Evans on a two-year deal where Evans will make $41 million dollars. Evans has been one of the most consistently productive wide receivers in the NFL since he’s entered the league. He signed the deal without knowing who will be at quarterback next season and that will greatly impact their chances at another playoff appearance in 2024.

Michael Pittman – Indianapolis Colts

The Colts couldn’t come to a deal with Pittman for the long term but franchise tagged him for next season. Pittman will make $21 million dollars and is clearly the best wide receiver on the team. With Anthony Richardson back, this team could make a run at the playoffs.

Jaylon Johnson – Chicago Bears

One of the best cornerbacks in the NFL stays with the Chicago Bears. They should be committed to putting a good team around Caleb Williams who they should draft with the first pick in the draft. This team may not compete for the playoffs next year but is building something for the future.
