The NFL season will always bring a ton of injuries, even to some of the star players. There were a good amount of injuries in week one and we’ll go through the current status of these injuries in this one.
Dak Prescott Cowboys
In the week one loss quarterback Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys injured his hand. After getting some tests done, the injury is expected to keep him out for six to eight weeks, which is a huge loss for the team this early in the season.
Elijah Mitchell 49ers
The 49ers starting running back injured his knee early in the game in week one. After getting some tests done on Monday he will likely miss two months of action with a sprained MCL.
TJ Watt Steelers
One of the best pass rushers in the NFL injured his pec in the first game of the year, which was a win for Pittsburgh over the reigning AFC champion Bengals. It is yet to be determined the severity of the injury, however.
Chris Godwin Bucs
The star wide receiver for Tampa Bay suffered a hamstring strain and will reportedly miss some time, but it is not known how long.
Derek Barnett Eagles
The Eagles defensive end went down with a knee injury that was determined to be an ACL tear. It will end his season.
Kyle Fuller Ravens
Kyle Fuller, the cornerback for the Ravens, was a key acquisition for Baltimore but suffered a torn ACL in week one and will miss the rest of the year.
