Desmond Ridder showed he was more than just a game manager in this win over the Houston Texans. He threw for the third-most yards on the week and out of all winning quarterbacks in week 5 he threw the most yards. Getting the ball down one with less than two minutes left in the game, Ridder led the Falcons to a game-winning field goal. He ended the game with 329 yards and no interceptions.
With the Jets having their backs against the wall they needed to win this game. A huge reason why was because of the offensive outbreak from Breece Hall. He led the entire league in week 5 with 177 yards rushing and scored a long touchdown. He accounted for nearly half of the Jet’s total yards.
With everyone focused on the return of Johnathan Taylor to the Colts, Zack Moss still started the game and had probably his best game ever in the NFL. He ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns and also had 30 receiving yards. He did all this while surrenduring some work to Taylor and against a tough defense in Tennessee.
One wide receiver stood out form the rest this week and that was undoubtedly Ja’Marr Chase. After an uneventful first four weeks of the season, Chase erupted for 192 yards and three touchdowns on 15 catches. It was an inspiring outing from him and the Bengals look like they are back.
