This NBA offseason has been a lot of rumors and that has been it, just rumors. The three big trades have been Dejounte Murray to the Hawks, Christian Wood to the Mavericks, and then Rudy Gobert to the Timberwolves. Since the Gobert trade, the offseason moves have all but halted.
Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell have been two names in trade rumors since the Gobert deal and they have held up the market, until now. Immediately after Durant pulled his trade request the Lakers made a move to get Patrick Beverley for Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson.
The next deal that needs to happen is Utah trading Mitchell. They said they want to before the season starts and New York looks like the final destination.
Other moves need to be made and teams should look to sign some of these veteran players. A ton of veteran big men are out there but Charlotte is a team who is looking for a guard. It is rumored they are looking at Elfrid Payton, Isaiah Thomas, or a reunion with Kemba Walker.
Lastly, we predict that Russell Westbrook will finally be traded that will make room for another point guard in Los Angeles. The Lakers should look to sign Schroder again, who is still a free agent somehow.
