Should Caleb Williams Go No. 1?

Caleb Williams has been talked about as the number 1 pick in the NFL draft for two years now. Should he actually go number overall?

The majority of people still say yes, even with some other very intriguing players climbing up the board. One of the players that seems to have some major upside in the NFL would be Jayden Daniels. Daniels has a similar game to Lamar Jackson. He’s an extremely good athlete and fast with a huge arm.

Caleb Williams has been compared to Patrick Mahomes, which obviously would be great even if he was 90% of Mahomes as Mahomes is already a top-3 quarterback of all time arguably.

The comparisons, results on the field, and eye test all say that Williams is too good of a prospect to pass up. Daniels has been climbing but Drake Maye has been falling.

Right now Williams looks like the clear choice. There are not many knocks on him as a prospect besides winning. USC was expected to be a much better team last season than they were under Williams. Even though Williams put up great numbers and passes every eye test, winning will be the question about him.

The Chicago Bears hold the first pick and will likely select Caleb Williams unless the pick is traded.
