This NFL offseason has seen some star players display some uncertainty for next season. Let’s look at these players and what is going on with them.
Stefon Diggs Bills
The Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs missed the team minicamp and the head coach Sean McDermott said he was “very concerned” about his absence. Diggs has publicly been frustrated, especially in the playoffs last season, with the team and his role. The Bills will again be seen as Super Bowl contenders and hopefully Diggs will be ready to go for the start of the regular season.
Saquon Barkley Giants
There have been many conversations around Saquon Barkley and his contract situation. Barkley wants to be paid as a top running back in the league and it seems that the Giants are not willing to pay him that. He is currently holding out and hasn’t signed the $10 million franchise tag. Barkley says he will hold out until he gets a multi-year deal that is worth $15 million per season or more.
DeAndre Hopkins FA
The Arizona Cardinals cut DeAndre Hopkins after failing to trade him. Now he is a hot commodity on the free agent market. Hopkins had talks with the New England Patriots and a deal may get done soon. There are likely a ton of other teams out there willing to take a chance on the star wide receiver who has been injured frequently over the past few seasons.
