Tampa Bay Lightning Going for Three Straight Titles

The NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning have won the last two Stanley Cup titles in 2020 and 2021. Now, they are on a mission to win a third.

Right now, the Toronto Maple Leafs are standing in their way.

The playoff series started out rough for the Bolts as they dropped the first game to Toronto 0-5. It is not like this Tampa Bay team to get shut out. They came back in game two to win 5-3, tying up the series 1-1. Toronto then answered with a big win in game three, however. In game four the Bolts scored 7 goals in a big win to even the series back once again.

For game five Tampa Bay will have to go back to Toronto to face the Maple Leafs on their home ice. The Lightning haven’t had this much adversity in the early rounds of the playoffs in the last couple of years. It will be interesting to see how they handle this adversity early on in the playoffs.

Ross Colton, the young right wing for the Bolts, has been big lately for this team. In the game four win he had two goals and he also added a goal in game three. He will need to be big again in this game five to give the Lightning a chance in Toronto.
