Cincinatti Bengals
The Bengals made sure to improve their defense in the 2023 NFL Draft. Their first three picks were all used on the defensive side of the ball. At pick No. 28 the pass rusher Myles Murphy fell to them and then they drafted one of the fastest players in the draft, cornerback DJ Turner in the second round. The third round they got another defensive back, safety Jordan Battle from Alabama, who some people believe is the best safety in the class.
Houston Texans
After rumors of the Texans not wanting to draft CJ Stroud with the second pick, they made the move. He could prove to be better than Bryce Young and a generational talent. After that they traded up to get Will Anderson with the third pick to bolster their defense and pass rush. With the rest of their seven picks they got high upside players: two wide receivers, three defensive playmakers, and two offensive lineman.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles continued their strategy of getting University of Georgia players. Not only did they draft two Georgia defensive players in the top 30 and one in the fourth round, they also traded for Deandre Swift, the former Georgia running back, who has talent but hasn’t had a breakout season yet in the NFL.
