There’s a New Quarterback in Cleveland

The Deshaun Watson era has not been great in Cleveland so far. The NFL nearly blacklisted Deshaun Watson in the middle of and following his legal issues but Cleveland took a gamble on him, giving up a lot to sign him to a massive contract. Watson played towards the end of last season and was actually worse than their fill-in starter, Jacoby Brissett.

After an up and down start to this season, Watson and the Browns had a massive win last week over Baltimore who lead the division and had just two losses. Following that game it was announced that Watson broke his shoulder and will miss the rest of the season.

Now, the Browns are expected to go with the rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, not PJ Walker who filled in for Watson for three games at the end of October. Thompson-Robinson had a strong preseason but really struggled when given a chance to start earlier this year when he threw three interceptions.

Reports say that Cleveland will go with Thompson-Robinson moving forward. After a comeback win last week, the Browns are more than in the playoff race at 6-3. We will see how Thompson-Robinson fairs the rest of the season and if he can lead Cleveland to the playoffs.
