Kevin Durant requested a trade form the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. Every NBA team should be clamoring for his services as he still has four years left on his deal and is arguably the best player in the league. Below are some trade packages that teams could offer for him.
Miami Heat: Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, Gabe Vincent, and a first-round pick
The Heat have a lot to offer. They could offer a former All Star in Adebayo, who is still young, Herro, who many see as a potential All Star and last year’s sixth man award winner, plus Gabe Vincent, who is a nice young point guard who can shoot the three, plus a first round pick. Brooklyn would still be competitive with this lineup plus Kyrie Irving, assuming he doesn’t get traded as well.
Phoenix Suns: Deandre Ayton, Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges, and two future first-round picks
Brooklyn has reportedly been interested in Ayton and could get him here in a sign-and-trade deal along with their two young, promising wings in Johnson and Bridges. The Suns also have a small window with Chris Paul and could command the picks to be after Paul and Durant are potentially gone from the Suns, which would make the picks a lot higher.
New York Knicks: Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, Cam Reddish, and a first-round pick
The Knicks would gratefully sacrifice all they have built in the last three years to get Kevin Durant. The Nets would likely have to add a throw in player to make the deal work but Brooklyn would be getting the Knicks core lineup plus they still have Kyrie Irving.
