The NBA rookie class of 2022 has some players who look like they could be legit stars. Let’s take a look at how they rank so far in the season.
1. Paolo Banchero Magic
The first overall pick looks like he was worthy of the selection. He is six foot ten yet he moves and handles the ball like a guard, and he is as athletic as they come. There doesn’t seem to be much he can’t do in the NBA so far after just 10 games. He is averaging a ridiculous 23.5 points per game so far to go with 8.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
2. Bennedict Mathurin Pacers
This rookie was the sixth overall pick and it looks like he should have gone higher. Even though he is coming off of the bench in every game so far, he has still averaged 20 points per game. The minutes have not been consistent either. He can shoot, get to the line, and flat out score.
3. Jaden Ivey Pistons
The Detroit rookie and fifth overall pick has slowly come along this year. It has helped that recently Cade Cunningham is out so he has gotten to have the ball in his hands more and has had a higher usage. He is now averaging over 16 points per game with 4.1 assists. In his last three games he has scored 18, 21, and 26.
Next two: Keegan Murray and Jabari Smith Jr.
